AI Traffic Checker: Discover Which Neural Networks Are Visiting Your Site

You create content, you grow your website, but you have no idea whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, or other AI models are reading it. Standard analytics tools like Google Analytics and Yandex.Metrica don’t see these visitors – but we do. And we show them to you in a simple, clear dashboard.

AI Traffic Checker is a free public service that records every visit an AI bot makes to your pages. No complex configuration: register, insert a single line of code, and get instant statistics.

Why track AI bots?

In 2025, neural networks have become full-fledged “readers” of the internet. They scan websites to answer user questions, shape search results, and train models. If your site is regularly visited by bots like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude, it means:

  • Your content is being cited in neural network responses.
  • You can understand which pages interest AI the most and strengthen them.
  • A new visibility channel is opening up – beyond traditional search engines.
  • You spot trends faster than competitors by tracking the activity of specific bots.

But first, you need to see these visits.

Why Google Analytics and Yandex.Metrica can’t handle this

Classic web analytics systems rely on JavaScript. They only load in a user’s browser. AI bots (ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Claude-Web, Google-Extended, and dozens more) are not browsers. They:

  • Do not execute JavaScript,
  • Do not load images,
  • Simply request the HTML code of a page and leave.

As a result, neither Google Analytics, nor GA4, nor Google Search Console, nor Yandex.Metrica will ever record their visit. Your counter might show 100 visitors, while 20 of them are actually neural networks already using your content.

AI Traffic Checker works differently – at the server-pixel level. It tracks every HTTP request, regardless of browser or bot. No JavaScript is needed, so no AI scanner goes unnoticed.

How it works – and why it’s free

  1. Sign up in 10 seconds – you get a unique site ID and a secret access key.
  2. Install the code – paste a simple <script> tag right before the </body> of your website.
  3. Data collection – each time a page loads (whether by a human or a bot), an anonymised signal is sent to our server.
  4. Analysis – we check the User-Agent and Referer against a regularly updated database of AI bots, refreshed every hour.
  5. Statistics – at any time, you log into your dashboard and see who visited you and how many times: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Bing, YandexGPT, and 50+ other neural networks.

The service is completely free. We don’t charge anything and don’t limit the number of pages you can track. All data is stored for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

Which AI tools do we detect?

Our detector is powered by a continuously updated list drawn from the public ai-robots.txt repository. Currently, it includes over 150 bots, such as:

  • ChatGPT-User / GPTBot
  • PerplexityBot / Perplexity-User
  • ClaudeBot / Claude-Web / anthropic-ai
  • Google-Extended / GoogleOther
  • DeepSeekBot
  • MistralAI-User
  • YandexAdditional / YandexBot
  • Applebot / Applebot-Extended
  • Bingbot
  • Meta-ExternalAgent
  • And many others.

If a new AI crawler appears tomorrow, it will be automatically added to the database within an hour.

Step-by-step: how to get started

1. Register your site

Right on this page, in the “Register a new site” section, click the “Get tracking code” button. Optionally enter your email – we only use it for communication, never spam. You will instantly receive:

  • Site ID – your unique website identifier.
  • Access Key – your secret key for viewing statistics.
  • Embed code – a ready-to-use <script>.

2. Install the code on your site

Copy the provided <script> and paste it into your website’s HTML just before the closing </body> tag.
For WordPress, you can add it to footer.php of your theme or via a code insertion plugin.
The same principle applies to any other CMS – add it once, and it works.

3. Check your statistics

Come back to this page, scroll to the “Check statistics” section. Enter your Site ID and Access Key, then click “Show statistics”. You’ll see:

  • Total number of tracked page loads.
  • A breakdown by each AI source: how many times ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc., accessed your site.

Statistics are updated in real time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track multiple websites?
Yes – simply register each site separately and install the corresponding code.

Does the pixel affect page loading speed?
No. The request is asynchronous, tiny (a 1×1 pixel), and does not slow down your page.

Is it secure?
We do not collect visitors’ personal data. IP addresses are used solely for technical routing and are stored in hashed form. Your Access Key is known only to you.

Why don’t you require a password during registration?
The Access Key is your password. Keep it in a safe place. If lost, it cannot be recovered, but you can simply register the site again.
